The earth will never be a cold, dead place

I am listening to an amazing live version of Your Hand In Mine: the song that introduced me to Explosions in the Sky, the song that I was obsessed with and listened to repeatedly for two solid years, the song I shared with any new person I wanted to give something meaningful and close to me and, once shared, bonded us for what I thought would be a lifetime. This song can still bring me to tears. Apparently.

This song is like…fingertips tapping lovingly over every square inch of my form.

I’m not gonna share a link. I will only talk about it…here. I still care to only share that piece on a one-on-one basis.

Explosions in the Sky

“We have some exciting news. We are curating and playing the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival for 2008. It will be held May 16 -18 in the UK and the bands we’ve confirmed so far include Broken Social Scene, Iron and WIne, Dinosaur Jr, Trail of Dead, and Adem. There are still about 30 more bands to confirm so we will let you know as the lineup expands over the coming months.

Anyway, this is the best thing we’ve ever been involved in and we hope some of you can make it out.

For more information about this festival (how it works, how to get tickets, etc) please go to www.atpfestival.com

Okay. Thanks for caring.

Love,
Explosions”

Uh…Why does the UK get all the best shows?  Someone out there must want me to relocate.

Guess what my plans will be for all the money I save between now and May?
